Trying To Get Back To Life......

Hi All,

As you all know, I lost my Grandpa a few weeks ago and it has been a really rough month. I look forward to April 1 with the start of a new month and spring in the air.

My Grandpa was truly one-of-a-kind and my heart will miss him so much. He was the greatest grandpa that I could have ever asked for. When I was younger, he was my hero. I even believed that he could make the rain stop (when we went under an overpass on the highway....go figure!). He would let me eat his "Manhattan" whiskey soaked cherries, sang me song after song and made life wonderful. As I got older, he turned into a true friend and confidant. His influence on my life is tremendous and I will forever be grateful to have had someone in my life who supported me and loved me the way that my Grandpa did. I hope that he is running marathons, backpacking in the woods, skiing and motorcycling as we speak and I also hope that he knows that our hearts are healing.

Even under the circumstances, it was so great to see so much of my family. It was such a sense of comfort to have everyone together during this time. I only wish that Uncle Gary, Aunt Paula, Bryan (Becky and Kira) and Brad (Sharlene) lived closer....I miss you guys! It was so great to spend time with you.

Here are a few updated pics of Davis who has helped me tremendously during this time. Every time I look at him, my heart seems to heal a little more. Grandpa nicknamed him "Little Guy". I truly think that God knew what he was doing when he made Davis come 10 days after my due date......my Grandpa and him share the same birthday to which I am so grateful for.

Hope to see all of you soon and thanks for all of your thoughts and prayers....they mean so much.

I miss you Grandpa, but you will forever live in my heart.....

Davis so tired that he fell asleep sitting up!
