Long Time No See.....

Hey Everyone,


I knew that I wouldn't be good at keeping up with this...oh well. Things have been great around here with summer winding down. Davis just LOVES being outside and getting dirty. He actually sits at the gate and whines to go outside! He is talking gibberish continuously but also is saying more and more words which is making Mommy and Daddy VERY nervous for all that he repeats.


What a GREAT summer it has been. We have stayed busy and enjoyed the cool weather. We have tried to make this summer as busy and fun as possible because who knows what next summer may bring!


These days I just feel so incredibly blessed to have a healthy and happy family. Every day I look around and cannot believe our lives and how much we have to be thankful for.....I love that line in the Sheryl Crow song...."It's not having what you want, it's wanting what you got" So true but yet so easy to forget.

Just a couple of new pics of Davis as well as some pics from the Beyonce concert. Brandi and I surprised my mom and took her to the Beyonce concert in Detroit last weekend. We had SO MUCH FUN.....I cannot even begin to tell you how awesome it was!!! aaahhhhh

Forgot to mention....

Just a few milestones that I forgot to mention about our "Big Boy One Year Old".....

• Davis started walking on Saturday night. He can't get up from sitting position to start but as long as he has something to pull himself up, he is walking to and from and across the room. Watch out, here comes the drunken sailor!!
• He is saying Da-Da, Ma-Ma (he uses Mama for multiple things including ANY time that he is in distress), ball, bye-bye and (with the wave that we just cannot get enough of)
• As of a few weeks ago, he no longer has a ba-ba (bottle) which was actually pretty painless. He is also sleeping (for about a month now) from about 9:30 pm to 7:30 am. Thank goodness!! We had a serious talk with him explaining that big boys don't wake their Mommy's and Daddy's up in the night!!! :)

Davis Turns One!!!!

Well, we can barely believe it, but our little guy is ONE! We had a family party up at the cabin which turned out great with family, food, great weather, presents, and LOTS OF CAKE!!! Here are some pictures...hope you enjoy!

Just a Day at the Zoo!!!

We went to the John Ball Zoo today with Aunt Meggan and Uncle Gary. The weather was gorgeous and it was so much fun! Davis LOVED the animals, scenery and the fresh air. Here are some pics.....

What great weather for the weekend. We spent it doing some chores around the yard and house and also went for our first stroll down the Grand Haven boardwalk for the season. We got a Pronto Pup (YUM!!) and it was so nice. Davis took a long snooze but loved it when he woke up (just in time for the end of the boardwalk and the lighthouse). Summer, here we come!!!
